April 25, 2006

BIG TEN MEN'S CO-GOLFER OF THE WEEK

Bronson La'Cassie, Minnesota
JR, Brisbane, Queensland/Kelvin Grove

La'Cassie matched his career-high finish with a tie for second place at the Fossum Invitational last week.  The Golden Gopher junior also equaled his season-low score with a final round 69 to duplicate his finish at the 2004 Fossum.  This year's outcome was his third top-10 finish of the season and 13th of his career. The 69 in the final round was his 14th round in the 60s in his much-heralded Gopher career.

The 2004 Big Ten Freshman of the Year earns the third weekly honor of his career as he was tabbed by the conference office on April 6, 2004 and April 7, 2005.

Chris Wilson, Northwestern
JR, Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman

Wilson led the Wildcats with a career-best second-place finish at the Fossum Invitational.  The Wildcat junior recorded a 2-under-par 214 (70-68-76) and shared the runner-up spot with Minnesota's Bronson La'Cassie. Wilson's second-round 68, which gave him a share of the lead after 36 holes, equaled his career-best single round.

The weekly honor marks the first of Wilson's career.
