Purdue's Junhasavasdikul Selected as First Golfer of the Week for 2007



Purdue's Pariya Junhasavasdikul earned his second career Golfer of the Week honor on Feb. 15.

In the first tournament of the championship season, Junhasavasdikul carded the low-round and tournament-best scores for the Boilermakers. In the first round of play at the SunTrust Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., Junhasavasdikul shot a team-best 2-under par 68. He followed that with a 74 in the afternoon round on Saturday and a 72 in the final round on Sunday. Junhasavasdikul's three-round total of 214 tied him for 12th place in the event and was the lowest 54-hole score of any Big Ten golfer in the event.

This is the second career Golfer of the Week award for Junhasavasdikul, as he was also honored on March 24, 2005.
