10:33 p.m. (Illinois 58, Indiana 54) Trent Meacham went to the line again for Illinois and hit both of his free throws this time to ice the game. Illinois will take on Wisconsin in Saturday's second semifinal. 10:32 p.m. (Illinois 56, Indiana 54) Illinois has taken its final timeout.

10:31 p.m. (Illinois 56, Indiana 54) Trent Meacham converted one-of-two free throws and Indiana again answered with a basket to pull within two. The Hoosiers took their final time out. 3.2 seconds remaining.

10:28 p.m. (Illinois 55, Indiana 52) Carter hit one-of-two, and A.J. Ratliff scored on his end to keep the Hoosiers within one posession. Both teams took time outs to plan for the final 8.9 seconds.

10:27 p.m. (Illinois 54, Indiana 50) Illinois' Warren Carter is at the line to shoot free throws which could wrap up the game. 16.9 seconds remaining.

10:25 p.m. (Illinois 53, Indiana 50) Armon Bassett just missed on a three, but the Hoosiers benefitted from an Illinois travelling violation on the rebound to retain the ball. IU couldn't capitalize on the next shot and Illinois was able to run nearly 30 seconds off the clock in its own end before going to the line.

10:22 p.m. (Illinois 53, Indiana 50) Shaun Pruitt just made an outstanding effort on his offensive boards collecting a pair of offensive rebounds before finally scoring and giving the Illini a three-point lead with 1:53 remaining.

10:19 p.m. (Illinois 51, Indiana 50) D.J. White picked up his fourth foul sending Shaun Pruitt to the line, where Pruitt connected on one of the attempts and gave Illinois a one-point edge.

10:17 p.m. (Indiana 50, Illinois 50) Each team missed on its first two possessions of overtime. Illinois has taken time out and has the ball when action resumes. 3:21 remaining in the period.
 

 

10:12 p.m. (Indiana 50, Illinois 50) Indiana got one shot off, but it hit the front rim, and although Chester Frazier came down with the rebound, time expired before he could do anything with it. We now head to the first overtime session of the 2007 Big Ten Tournament.

10:10 p.m. (Indiana 50, Illinois 50) Indiana has the ball in its end with 20.0 seconds left on the clock and the shot clock off. The Hoosiers have taken their full time out to plan their last shot.

10:07 p.m. (Indiana 50, Illinois 50) Free throws knotted the game up once again after Indiana had taken a four-point lead. 1:11 remaining on the clock...

10:01 p.m. (Indiana 46, Illinois 46) Brian Randle just picked up his fifth foul. Randle finished with two points and six rebounds.

9:59 p.m. (Indiana 46, Illinois 46) The three-pointer by Illinois that was initially disallowed when a foul was called was reversed during the timeout, and the subsequent free throw tied the game back up.

9:56 p.m. (Indiana 46, Illinois 45) The attendance for session 3 is 22,081 which is a sellout.

9:53 p.m. (Indiana 46, Illinois 42) Another deadly three by Ratliff, just as time expired on the shot clock. We're now at the final media timeout of the second half.

9:50 p.m. (Indiana 43, Illinois 42) Mike White just picked up his fifth foul. White finishes the night with three points and one rebound.

9:48 p.m. (Indiana 43, Illinois 41) A.J. Ratliff and Armon Bassett came up with back-to-back three-pointers to put the Hoosiers back in front of the Illini. 5:27 left on the game clock....

9:40 p.m. (Illinois 39, Indiana 35) Chester Frazier made the best of a broken play on Illinois' last possession turning a lost ball late in the shot clock into a three-point basket.

9:34 p.m. (Illinois 34, Indiana 33) The Illini have reclaimed the lead for the first time since the opening minutes of the game, but Brian Randle has run into foul trouble as well picking up his fourth of the game.

9:28 p.m. (Indiana 30, Illinois 28) Illinois is in the early midst of what could be a run, notching back-to-back baskets and pulling back within two for the first time since midway through the first half. The Illini then forced a turnover which caused the Hoosiers to take their first timeout of the second half.

9:21 p.m. (Indiana 30, Illinois 24) At the first media timeout of the second half, Indiana has upped its lead a big to six points, but neither coach seems entirely happy at his team's performance at the moment.

9:15 p.m. (Indiana 26, Illinois 22) Mike White just picked up his fourth foul for Indiana and is headed to the bench.

9:10 p.m. Second half starters:

8:57 p.m. Leading scorers for the first half were Shaun Pruitt for Illinois with 8 points and the Indiana duo of D.J. White and Armon Bassett. Halftime entertainment is "The Long Twins".

8:56 p.m. (Indiana 24, Illinois 21) Warren Carter cut the lead to three with a key three-pointer in the final minute of play. Illinois had a chance to cut further into that margin, holding the ball for a final shot, but was unable to get a field goal off.

8:50 p.m. (Indiana 22, Illinois 16) Shaun Pruitt broke Indiana's 6-0 run, but Indiana is facing a drought of its own from the field as well not having scored a field goal for the last 5:17 of the game.

8:44 p.m. (Indiana 22, Illinois 14) One early foul note. Indiana's Mike White is on the bench with three personal fouls.

8:38 p.m. (Indiana 18, Illinois 14) No scoring for the last couple minutes, but no lack of activity in the game which is happening at kind of a frenetic pace.

8:35 p.m. (Indiana 18, Illinois 14) D.J. White just came up with a beautiful block that Indiana transitioned to Roderick Wilmont for an easy lay-up.

8:30 p.m. (Indiana 16, Illinois 14) Both teams are executing well now, and have traded baskets on their last few trips down the floor.

8:24 p.m. (Indiana 9, Illinois 8) This game marks the Big Ten Tournament debut of Indiana coach Kelvin Sampson. Sampson made a big impression in his debut season with the Hoosiers, going undefeated at Assembly Hall for the forst time since 1993-94.

8:22 p.m. (Illinois 8, Indiana 8) A.J. Ratliff gave Indiana its first lead of the game with a three-pointer, but it was short lived after Marcus Arnold came down the other end of the floor and answered with a dunk off a Rich McBride feed.

8:17 p.m. (Illinois 6, Indiana 3) Mike White scored Indiana's first point on a free throw. He missed the second, but Indiana controlled the rebound and D.J. White capitalized on the chance to bring the game back within 3.

8:12 p.m. (Illinois 6, Indiana 0) Brian Randle kicked off the scoring for the game, and was followed by baskets from Warren Carter and Shaun Pruitt to force an early 30-second timeout from Indiana.

8:08 p.m. The last quarterfinal of the tournament pits Indiana against Illinois for the final spot in tomorrow's quarterfinals. Here are the starters:
