Ryan Hastings, Illinois

Hastings batted .727 (8-for-11) in three games last week, including an .857 (6-for-7) clip in two conference contests against No. 25 Ohio State. The junior slugged at a 1.000 mark and reached base at a .750 average. Hastings registered at least two hits and scored one run in each game last week, and recorded the game-winner against OSU in Game 1 on Sunday. The second baseman ranks fifth with a .476 average in conference games and has hit in 12 of his last 13 contests, including eight multi-hit games in that span.

Pitcher of the Week
Matt Ogrodnik, Penn State
P, Sr., Saltsburg, Pa./The Kiski School
Ogrodnik factored into the decision in two of Penn State's three victories last week, earning a win over Kent State on Wednesday and picking up a save against Iowa on Friday. The senior entered the game vs. Kent State with his team trailing in the seventh, and stranded a runner in scoring position as he threw 1.2 frames of scoreless, no-hit ball to pick up the win. Against Iowa, Ogrodnik tossed 3.1 shutout innings with three strikeouts and no walks to earn his first save of the year.
