Day One Of Mideast Regional Complete

May 30, 2003

Columbus, Ohio - Day one of the first-ever NCAA Mideast Regional Track and Field Championships concluded Friday evening at Ohio State's Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium. Two Falcons competed in Friday's action, with two more to come Saturday.

Junior Alicia Taylor ran a time of 14.08 in the 100-meter hurdle prelims, falling just short of qualifying for the finals.

Kerri McClung placed 23rd in the shot put with a mark of 46-06, her third best performance of the season.

Senior Mary Willems will compete Saturday at noon in the hammer throw, while teammate junior Amber Culp will compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 8:00 p.m.
