Falcons Tune-Up For MAC Championships

May 1, 2003

Bowling Green, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University track squad will travel to Indianapolis, Indiana, on Saturday, May 3, to compete in the Butler Twi-Light. The Falcons hope to use the meet as a tune-up for the 2003 MAC Outdoor Championships, held in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan on May 15.

Last week the Falcons competed both at the Drake Relays and Hillsdale Relays. The Falcons sent some of their top performers to the Drake Relays, where junior Alicia Taylor placed seventh in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.15, her second-best time of the season. Amber Culp placed seventh in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10:57.26, her second-best time on the season.

At the Hillsdale Relays, the Brown & Orange were led by senior Amy Henry who placed first in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.36. Henry also placed fourth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.17.

Following the Butler Twi-Light the Falcons will not compete until the MAC Championships on May 15 hosted by Central Michigan.
