Amber Culp: BGSU Scholar-Athlete Of The Week

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Amber Culp is the Bowling Green State University Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Culp, a junior on the BGSU women's track and field team, posted a first-place finish and a regional qualifying time over the weekend.

Culp, a native of Ann Arbor, Mich., won the 3,000-meter steeplechase event at the All-Ohio Championship in Columbus. Culp posted a regional qualifying time of 10:56.62 to finish first by 18 seconds in the event. A total of 12 women competed in the steeplechase.

Culp, a social work major, has a 3.16 cumulative grade point average through the fall, 2002, semester.

Next up for the Falcons of head coach Scott Sehmann is the Drake Relays in Des Moines, Iowa, from April 23-26.
