BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Amber Culp is the Bowling Green State University Scholar-Athlete of the Week. Culp, a senior on the BGSU track and field team, had a successful weekend at the SeaRay Relays.

Culp, a native of Ann Arbor, Mich. (Pioneer H.S.), posted a regional qualifying time of 10:45.48 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase event at the meet, hosted by the University of Tennessee. Culp finished third in the meet, and her time was just three seconds off her personal best and less than eight seconds shy of the school record.

Culp, a social work major, maintains a cumulative grade-point average of 3.22.

The Falcons return to action on April 16, when they travel to Columbus, Ohio, to compete in the All-Ohio Championships.
