Falcons Eighth After Day One of All-Ohio Championships

COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Bowling Green State University track and field team scored seven points at the All-Ohio Championship, hosted by Ohio State University at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium and sit in eighth place after day one. Fellow Mid American Conference foes, Akron (35), Kent State (34) and Miami (25) own the top three spots in the competition.

Freshman Bridget Dalic recorded the first point for the Falcons in the 10,000 meters with a time of 40:15.51 for eighth place. Teammate Leslie Carden finished ninth with a time of 40:53.73.

Nicole Suitor had a personal-best in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, finishing sixth in the event with a time of 11:35.35, recording three points.

In the javelin throw freshman Andi Bunko placed sixth with a mark of 118-10.

Day two of the All-Ohio Championships begin at 10:00 am on Saturday.
