Women's Track Had Four Athletes Compete on Friday At The Sea Ray Relays

April 13, 2001

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee - Four members of the BGSU women's track team competed at the Sea Ray Relays at the University of Tennessee on Friday. Leading the way were Sophomore Joy Echler and Senior Stephanie Heldt. Echler ran the 3,000 meter steeplechase in 10:37.81, which was good enough for a second place finish. Heldt earned third place in the high jump, by clearing 5 feet 9 1/4 inches. Also competing on Friday was Senior Lisa Keegan. Keegan earned ninth place with a 170 feet 9 inch toss in the hammer throw. Senior Andrea Cook competed in the pole vault, and her jump of 21 feet 1 1/2 inches was good enough to earn her 5th place.

The Falcons continue competition at the Sea Ray relays on Saturday.
