Women Compete In Kentucky Meet

The Bowling Green State University women's track and field team had one winner in the Rod McCravy Memorial hosted by the University of Kentucky Saturday.

Andrea Cook took the lone first-place finish for the Falcons clearing 11-2 1/2 in the pole vault.

Two Falcon athletes earned third-place finishes. Lori Williams was third in the weight throw with a best of 51-8 1/2 while Mary Willems was third in the shot put with a toss of 44-2 3/4.

Other top finishes were turned in by Jen Easterlin who cleared 9-4 1/2 in the pole vault to finish sixth, Williams was fifth in the shot put with a toss of 43-5 3/4, Nicole Carter was eighth in the triple jump with a best of 35-4 1/2, Christine Thompson was fourth in the mile with a time of 5:04.70, and two athletes placed in the 3,000 with Lisa Mariea seventh in a time of 10:25.90 and Nikki Monroe ninth with a time of 10:27.29.
