Box Score

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Four Bowling Green State University women's tennis players competed at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships in Ann Arbor, Mich. The action marked the completion of the fall season for the Falcons of head coach Penny Dean.

A pair of BGSU seniors split their matches in the qualifying round of singles. Abby Bratton downed Michelle Webb of Illinois before losing to seventh-seeded Alicia Salas of Notre Dame. Erika Wasilewski lost her first match to a Western Michigan foe, but rebounded to beat Northwestern's Jessica Strickland.

Another senior, Meghan Rhodes, competed in the main draw. She went 1-2 in Ann Arbor, with the win coming against Chicago State's Joanna Phang in straight sets.

In doubles action, Rhodes and Wasilewski competed in the qualifying bracket, while Bratton and junior Devon Bissinger went 1-1 in the main draw. The latter duo's win came against a Northern Illinois tandem, and the Falcon team was then eliminated by an Ohio State duo that was seeded second.

The Falcons are now idle until a Jan. 19, 2001, match against Michigan in Ann Arbor.
