Women's Tennis Earns Sweep At Buffalo, 7-0

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The Bowling Green women's tennis team recorded a 7-0 win over Buffalo in a Mid-American Conference dual Saturday (April 1). The match was held at UB's University Tennis Club.

BGSU captured every flight en route to the victory. Falcon winners included juniors Abby Bratton, Meghan Rhodes, Erika Wasilewski and Tracy Howitt at the top four singles flights, respectively. Senior co-captain Beth Wilson picked up a win at flight number five, while classmate Kelly Dredge won in her 1999-2000 dual-match debut.

No Falcon singles competitor loss more than three games on the day, and both Wasilewski and Dredge won by 6-0, 6-0 scores.

In doubles, the Falcons' victorious teams included the duo of Bratton and Wasilewski at the top flight, Dredge and sophomore Devon Bissinger at the second flight, and the Howitt/Wilson combo at the third level.

With the win, the Falcons improve to 8-6 in dual-match play and 3-1 in MAC action. The Falcons are on the road for another conference match next week, travelling to Ball State for a Thursday (April 6) dual.
