Indiana Tops Falcons, 6-1

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Host Indiana University won at each of the top five singles flights to clinch a 6-1 win over the Bowling Green State University women's tennis team Saturday morning (March 15). The non-conference dual match was held at the IU Varsity Courts.

The Hoosiers improve to 7-7 on the season, while the Falcons fall to 5-6.

IU opened play by taking the doubles point with wins at the top-two flights. BGSU took a win by default at the third level.

In singles action, the Hoosiers got wins at flights one through five to capture the overall win. Sophomore Cameron Benjamin split her first two sets with IU's Dominika Walterova at the fourth flight, before Walterova pulled out a shortened third set.

BGSU's lone singles victory came at the sixth flight, where sophomore Laura Kokinda won by default.

The Falcons remain in Bloomington for a neutral-site match against Indiana State University later Saturday.
