BGSU Takes on the Cardinals of Ball State in Unfamiliar Territory

Nov. 9, 2005

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - For the first time this season, the swimming and diving program will take on a Mid-American Conference opponent away from the friendly confines of Cooper Pool. The Falcons travel to Muncie, Ind. to compete against the Cardinals of Ball State University. The first event will begin at 6:00 p.m.

"We really don't focus on where we swim," said head coach Keri Buff. "I expect the team to be just as good as we always are."

Past expereience has shown this meet has taken on a pendulum effect since Buff first became the Falcons head coach. The Cardinals won Buff's first and third years while the Falcons recorded the victory her second year.

"We match up well," said Buff. "But it is our turn."

In the past three MAC meets, the Falcons have competed well. Currently, freshman Alisha Yee and senior Dana Schultz lead the Orange and Brown in first place finishes.
