Sunday's Soccer Start Times Changed

Oct. 25, 2002

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - The starting times for Sunday's (Oct. 27) Bowling Green State University soccer matches have been changed. Both teams have key Mid-American Conference matches, as the Falcon women will take on Northern Illinois University beginning at noon at Cochrane Field, while the BG men will face the University of Akron in a match now scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m.

The matches mark the final MAC regular-season contests for each team.

BGSU's men's team, under the direction of Mel Mahler, are 3-10-0 overall and 3-1-0 in MAC action, heading into a Friday (Oct. 25) contest vs. IPFW. The BGSU women of head coach Andy Richards are 9-6-2 overall and 6-3-1 in the league heading into Friday's match vs. Western Michigan University. Friday's doubleheader begins at 1:00 p.m. at Cochrane.

Sunday's women's match will be "Senior Day," as the four seniors in the BGSU women's soccer program -- Jill Conover, Erika Flanders, Tracy Gleixner and Susan Wallace -- will be recognized in a ceremony prior to the match.
