CLEVELAND, Ohio (BGSUFalcons.com) - Bowling Green State University sophomore Corbie Yee has been named the Mid-American Conference Women's Soccer Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday morning (Oct. 16). Yee earns the honor for the first time in her Falcon career.

Yee, a native of Berea, Ohio (Berea HS), scored all three of the Falcons' goals in a pair of wins at the Kent State Soccer Field over the weekend. She capped a mad scramble in front of the net with an overtime goal in Friday's (Oct. 13) 1-0 win over KSU, for her first goal of the year and her first career 'Golden Goal.'

On Sunday (Oct. 15), Yee had both of BGSU's goals in a 2-0 victory over Buffalo. The two-goal game was the second of her career, and the weekend's two game-winning goals give her a total of four GWG as a Falcon.

Yee, the 2005 MAC Freshman of the Year, currently ranks second on the Falcons with seven points this fall. Just a sophomore, she is BGSU's active career scoring leader, with nine goals and 22 points. Eight of her nine career goals have come against Mid-American Conference opposition.

The Falcons of head coach Andy Richards, 8-8-0 overall, return to Northwest Ohio for a three-game homestand to conclude the regular season. BGSU, currently tied for third in the MAC standings with a 5-3-0 league ledger, will begin that homestand with Friday's (Oct. 20) game vs. Central Michigan, with kickoff scheduled for noon at Cochrane Field.

The Falcons will host Eastern Michigan on Sunday (Oct. 22), then will close the regular season with a home match vs. Toledo on Thursday, Oct. 26.
