Senior gymnast Marny Oestreng earned her first MAC Gymnast of the Week honor of the 2002 season and the seventh of her career as she led the Falcons past Central Michigan last weekend. Oestreng placed first in the vault (9.700), first in the floor exercise (9.925), first in the bars (9.850), first in the all-around (39.200), and fifth in the beam (9.725).

BG defeated Central with a score of 194.225 to 192.200. The Falcons are now 2-0 overall and 1-0 in Mid-American Conference competition.
