Sept. 11, 2000

The Bowling Green State University women's golf team, under the guidance of fourth-year head coach Kurt Thomas, will participate in its first tournament of the 2000-2001 season this weekend in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

The Falcons, with six returning letterwinners plus four freshmen and one transfer, will be one of 11 teams competing in the Wolverine North Invitational at the University of Michigan Golf Course (par 73) this Saturday and Sunday. Thirty-six holes will be played on Saturday, followed by 18 holes on Sunday.

Each school will have six golfers competing, with the four low scores counting. In addition to BG, the other schools participating are Arkansas-Little Rock, Baylor, Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Grand Valley State, Michigan, Ohio, Toledo, Western Michigan and Xavier.
