Two Falcons Named to All-MAC Soccer Second Team

Nov. 13, 2003

Cleveland, Ohio - Bowling Green State University men's soccer players Paul Dhaliwal and Eric Duda were named to the 2003 Mid-American Conference Second Team, announced today by the league office.

Dhaliwal, a senior forward from Edmonton, Alberta, is third on the team with eight points, including three goals and two assists, in 17 games played. Duda, a senior defender from Bloomingdale, Ill., leads the team and is among the league leaders with eight assists. League coaches voted on the All-MAC teams.

The MAC office also announced its All-Academic Team on Thursday with senior goalkeeper David DeGraff and Duda making the list. DeGraff is a criminal justice major with a 3.20 grade-point-average and it marked the second-consecutive year he had been recognized for his academic accomplishments by the league. Duda is majoring in recreation.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport. First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.
