Abiola Sandy named to U-20 National Team

Freshman forward Abiola Sandy was named to the Trinidad and Tobago Under-20 Men's National Team under coach Anton Corneal. Corneal announced 18 names on Thursday during a team meeting. The players will leave on Saturday for California to partake in the 2005 CONCACAF Under-20 Final Round Qualification Group A.

The team's first match will be on Wednesday against the U.S. The top two teams from the Group will advance to the 2005 World Youth Championship in the Netherlands.

Sandy came to Bowling Green from St. Anthony's College where he was their leading scorer. In his 14 games played at Bowling Green, Sandy has recorded two goals and one assist. His first goal came in the MAC opener against Marshall and the second against Northern Illinois.
