Final Stats

Bowling Green, Ohio -

Bowling Green rebounded from an early Detroit-Mercy goal when freshman Sean McGarity scored the first goal of his career to give the Falcons a 1-1 tie in the regular-season finale.

McGarity picked a great time to net his first collegiate goal when he put in a rebound at 53:55 to knot the game at 1-1. Eric Duda and Omari aldridge assisted on the goal. McGarity had two more great chances of giving BGSU the lead and finished with a team-high four shots on goal.

UDM's Ablaye Camara got the visitors on the board first when he took a pass from George Kithas after a Falcon turnover and shot past BGSU's David DeGraff. The goal came at 12:01.

BGSU held fast after the early Titans goal. UDM held a 9-6 shot advantage in the first half while the Falcons rebounded for a 11-8 advantage in the second half. UDM had three shots in the two overtime sessions while BGSU had none.

DeGraff, playing in his final regular-season game at Mickey Cochrane Field, had seven saves in the game, including several game-saving stops at point-blank range in the second half. UDM's Matt Strabbing finished with six saves.

UDM finished with a 20-17 shot advantage in the game and also held a 25-13 edge in fouls.

BGSU finishes the regular season at 6-8-5 overall and will be the No. 4 seed in the Mid-American Conference Tournament, which Bowling Green will host Nov. 7 and Nov. 9. The Falcons will face No. 5 seed Northern Illinois at 3 p.m., Nov. 7, at Mickey Cochrane Field.
