Brudzewski Earns "Grinder of the Year" Award

Bowling Green, Ohio - This year's second annual "Grinder of the Year" award goes to junior forward Steve Brudzewski on the Bowling Green State University hockey team.

The "Grinder of the Year" award is chosen exclusively by fan voting at the W.G. Grinders store location in Bowling Green and at the BGSU Ice Arena during home games. Nominees for the award are selected by the BGSU hockey coaching staff.

Brudzewski finished tied for first on the team with 11 goals and led the squad with six power-play goals. The Dearborn, Mich. native was tied for fifth on the team overall with 20 points (11g, 9a) while playing every game for the Falcons this season.

Last season's "Grinder of the Year" award went to defenseman Kevin Bieksa.
