Valentine Named To CCHA All-Academic Team

March 7, 2001

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Bowling Green State University senior Curtis Valentine has been named to the Central Collegiate Hockey Association All-Academic Team. Valentine is one of eight CCHA student-athletes named to the first team.

The award is voted on by the league's faculty representatives. The six players with the most votes are selected, and ties are not broken.

Valentine, a forward, has a 3.68 cumulative GPA in production & operations management. On the ice, he is tied for fifth on the team with 16 points this season. His total of nine goals places him third on the Falcons.

A host of other Falcon student-athletes earned special mention to the CCHA All-Academic Team. Marc Barlow, Tyler Knight, Louis Mass, Tyler Masters, Grady Moore, Doug Schueller, Joe Statkus, Ryan Wetterberg and Dennis Williams all were so honored.

The Falcons, 13-18-5 on the season, open the first round of the CCHA Championships Thursday (March 8). BGSU will face host Miami University in the first of a best-of-three series.
