Falcon Men Finish 10th at Rutherford Intercollegiate

University Park, Pa. - The Bowling Green State University men's golf team finished 10th out of 15 teams on Sunday at the Rutherford Intercollegiate, hosted by Penn State University in University Park, Pa. The Falcons have ended with a team score of 889 for 54 holes. Host PSU won the tournament with a score of 852. Senior Falcon Andy Miller had a career weekend for BGSU, finishing tied for 15th place with a career-low score of 217 for 54 holes. In the second round on Saturday, Miller shot a career-low 69. He sandwiched that score between a 74 on day one and a 74 on day three. Redshirt-sophomore Craig Pickerel, along with freshmen Chris Leake and Bud Ziglar each finished tied for 41st place with a score of 224. Pickerel shot a 70 on the final day to move him up while Leake had a low score of 71 on day two. The other Falcon finisher was Tommy Lopez who was 80th with a score of 248. BGSU wraps up its 2003 season with the Mid-American Conference Championship next weekend in DeKalb, Ill. (May 2-4).
