April 25, 2005

Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green wide receiver Cole Magner has signed a free-agent contract with the National Football League's Atlanta Falcons. Magner ended his collegiate career with a BGSU record 215 receptions for 2,385 yards (11.1 yards-per-catch average) in four seasons. His 215 receptions rank him fifth all-time in the Mid-American Conference.

The Palmer, Alaska, native caught 18 touchdown passes, threw for four TDs, and rushed for two scores during his time with the Brown and Orange. As a junior, Magner set a school record with 99 receptions and became just the second Falcon to record over 1,000 yards receiving in a season (1,138).
