Bowling Green, Ohio - Bowling Green State University Assistant Vice President/Director of Athletics Greg Christopher has announced the department has reached an agreement with former MAC rival Marshall on a two-game football series that begins in 2009.

BGSU will play September 26, 2009 in Huntington, while Marshall will visit Bowling Green on September 18, 2010.

BGSU holds a 20-7 lead in the series including a 56-35 in the teams last meeting in Bowling Green in 2004. BGSU last visited Huntington in 2001.

"I'm very excited that we have a team the caliber of Marshall in a home-and-home series," said BGSU Football Coach Gregg Brandon. "They are a team our fans know and a great team to have visit Perry Stadium during the non-conference portion of our schedule."
