Eastern Kentucky, Temple Added To Football Schedules

Feb. 18, 2003

Bowling Green, Ohio - Eastern Kentucky will serve as the opponent for the first game of the Gregg Brandon era as the Colonels replace Louisiana-Monroe on the 2003 schedule. The Falcons will host EKU on Thursday, August 28 in the season opener for both teams. They fill a slot vacated when Louisiana-Monroe opted to pay a $75,000 penalty to void a previously agreed upon home and home contract. To replace the road game it lost in 2004, BGSU has agreed on a new home-and-home contract with Temple. The Falcons will play in Philadelphia on October 2, 2004, with the Owls coming to BGSU on September 10, 2005.
