Junior center Kevin Netter was selected as one of the league's top 20 players by earning honorable mention All-MAC status in a vote by the conference's 13 coaches. Netter, a native of Richmond Dale, Ohio, averaged 15.7 points, an 11.3 point improvement from last season, and finished among league leaders in field goal percentage (53.8) and blocked shots (37).
