Samarco and Miller Earn All-MAC Honors

March 7, 2007

Cleveland, Ohio - Bowling Green State University men's basketball players Martin Samarco and Nate Miller were named honorable mention All-MAC the league office announced today.

Samarco, a second team pick in 2006, leads the MAC in scoring with 19.6 points per game. He is currently 27th in career scoring at BGSU with 1,137 points and needs one point today against Ohio to become the top junior college transfer scorer in BGSU history. A two-time MAC East Player of the Week selection this season, he scored a MAC-high 43 points earlier this year against Buffalo. He has scored 20 points or more in a game 26 times in two seasons.

Miller, who is averaging 14.0 points and 7.0 rebounds, ranks sixth in the MAC in scoring, seventh in rebounds and fourth in steals in conference games only. He scored in double figures in 15 of 20 games this season and had a season-high of 21 points at Miami and 14 rebounds at Kent State. He also shot 51.5% from the field.
