MAC MADNESS

The Falcons survived a stretch which saw them play five games in nine days to earn a trip to Cleveland. BGSU has won nine of its last 12 games since January 31. The Falcons rallied from a 14-point halftime deficit to defeat Western Michigan, 74-68, in the first round of the MAC Tournament.

SERIES HISTORY

This will be the 125th meeting in a series which began during the 1916-17 season. The Falcons have a 74-50 advantage, but lost both regular season meetings to the Golden Flashes this season. Kent State won at home, 81-57, on January 27, and rallied from a 13-point deficit at Anderson Arena to capture a 70-64 road victory.

KSU also has a 2-1 edge in MAC Tournament meetings with their last matchup coming in the 1994 quarterfinals. The Falcons won that game, 68-58. BGSU is 11-18 in the MAC Tournament, while Kent State is 11-17.
