Bowling Green Downs Troy, 60-52

TROY, Ala. (AP) - John Floyd scored 8 of his 13 points in the second half, helping Bowling Green defeat Troy 60-52 on Monday night.

The Falcons (3-6) led by as many as 12 points in the second half, the second time on Floyd's jumper with 6:46 remaining, making it 50-38.

A pair of free throws by Boo Ramsey within the final 28 second put Troy within 6, but the Trojans couldn't catch up.

Matt Lefeld added 10 points and Erik Marschall had eight rebounds for Bowling Green.

Cedric Jackson led the Trojans (4-3) with 14 points and eight rebounds. Ramsey added 12 points and five rebounds, while Sammy Sharp had 10 points and a game-high 9 rebounds.

The Falcons held Troy to 27.8 percent shooting, while hitting 38.8 percent of their shots.

Bowling Green had a 27-22 halftime advantage.
