MOBILE, Ala. (AP) -- Todd Galloway scored 14 points and Alexander Johnson added 12, leading Florida State to a 71-60 victory in the second round of Saturday's Coors Classic.

Galloways hit 8 of 11 free throws for the Seminoles (6-1), while Johnson connected on 5 of 10 from the line. Al Thornton grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds.

The Falcons (2-6) were led by Martin Samarco, who had a game-high 27 points that included seven 3-pointers. Steven Wright added 12 points.

After leading by two points at halftime, Florida State outscored Bowling Green 41-32 in the second half.

The Falcons were held to 50 percent shooting, while Florida State hit 70 percent of its shots.

Earlier in the evening, South Alabama took a 66-62 victory over No. 25 Houston.
