Illinois State defeats Bowling Green, 83-73

Normal, Ill. - Tarise Bryson scored 20 points and the host Redbirds outscored the Falcons 54-41 in the second half to lead ISU to an 83-73 victory over BGSU. The Falcons were playing without their second-leading scorer, Keith McLeod, who was out with a sprained ankle, and lost starter Brent Klassen in the first minute with a similar injury.

Sophomore Cory Ryan led the Falcons with 18 points and seven rebounds as he made his first start of the season, in place of McLeod. Freshman Josh Almanson scored a career-high 14 points and added five rebounds.

BGSU led 32-29 at halftime and also received double-digit scoring efforts from Trent Jackson (12 points) and Brandon Pardon (10 points). The Falcons will host Urbana on Saturday,
