Quoting Louis Orr

Nov. 28, 2007

Recap |  Final Stats

GREENVILLE, S.C. (BGSUFalcons.com) - A few quotes from Bowling Green State University head men's basketball coach Louis Orr after the Falcons downed Furman, 67-58, Tuesday night (Nov. 27) ...

It seemed like when you extended the man-to-man defense, your team got a little more aggressive and went on that big run.
"I think we had 12 stops in a 13-possession span during that point, and that was indeed the difference in the game. When we defend like that, good things happen."

The last four or five minutes of the first half, it appeared to be a real battle for Furman to even get off a shot.
"Well, they are a young team, but a talented team that can really shoot the ball. We were concerned about their three-point shooting. But, their big guy, Stanley Jones, really did a nice job, as did (Alex) Opacic. We didn't want to let their perimeter guys get going, and their big guys did a good job. We put them on the foul line more than we wanted to as well. They didn't quit [when they fell behind after BG's run]. Coach Jackson is doing a great job here, and they are just going to get better and better."

This is a great start to your three-game road swing, isn't it?
"Yes, it is. We bounced back from a tough game at home, against Temple. Our guys really came out ready to play tonight, and I am proud of them. We have another tough game at Oakland Saturday, but we are happy to get this win."
