Bowling Green Falls To Ohio

ATHENS, Ohio (AP) - Mychal Green scored 16 points and Ohio had its best shooting day of the season in beating Bowling Green 85-48 on Saturday.

The Bobcats (17-10, 10-8 Mid-American Conference) hit 63 percent of their shots from the field (32-of-51) including 50 percent from 3-point range (11-of-22).

Jerome Tillman didn't miss a shot - he was 4-for-4 from the field and 7-of-7 at the line - to add 15 points for Ohio. Jeff Halbert scored 11 points, missing only one shot from the field while making 3-of-4 3-pointers, and Leon Williams was also 4-for-5 from the field and had 10 points.

Martin Samarco led Bowling Green (9-20, 5-13) with 20 points, with Darryl Clements adding 10.

The Bobcats hit their first five shots from the field to build a 12-4 lead and led by as many as 16 points in the opening half. They never trailed. In the second half, they had an 11-0 run and led by as many as 37 points.
