BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) - Mike McKinney's tip-in with 4 seconds left pushed Northern Illinois to a 75-74 victory over Bowling Green on Wednesday night.

The Huskies (8-4, 3-1 Mid-American Conference) trailed by 15 points in the opening half and were down 50-39 at the half before bouncing back. They built a four-point lead on Todd Peterson's 3-pointer with 2:34 left only to have the Falcons (5-8, 1-2) regain the lead on Martin Samarco's basket followed by a 3-pointer, the latter with 1:46 remaining.

The teams traded possessions until Steven Wright's 3-pointer was off the mark for Bowling Green with 40 seconds left. Northern Illinois' Cory Sims missed a jumper but McKinney tipped it in. Wright then missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Craig Reichel came off the bench to score 20 points and Peterson, also a reserve, added 12 for the Huskies. Sims had 11.

Samarco scored 25 points, Matt Lefeld had 19 and Wright 12 for the Falcons.
