Foster Named Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League Hitter of the Week

BETHESDA, Maryland - Andrew Foster, a senior to be on the Bowling Green State University baseball team, was named the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League Hitter of the Week for the week of June 8-17. The Bowling Green, Ohio, native had 11 hits in 28 at-bats (.393), including two doubles, a home run and nine RBI. Foster also scored six runs, collect 16 total bases (highest in the league) and slugged .571.

Foster, who is participating in a wooden bat league, is competing with the Bethesda Big Train, located in Bethesda, Maryland. His top game this week came in a come-from-behind win, where he smacked a three-run homer and knocked in four RBI in a win over the Herndon Braves.
