Wells Named MAC East Player of the Week Again

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio - Senior outfielder Kurt Wells was named the MAC East player of the Week, announced the conference office on Monday, April 23rd. The Perrysburg, Ohio native won the award earlier this season as well for the week of Feb. 25th following Bowling Green's season-opening series at Middle Tennessee State.

Wells hit at a .579 pace during the Falcons five games this week, including Bowling Green's first MAC series win of the season. The Perrysburg, Ohio native recorded multi-hit games in all four contests he started. He also stroked run-scoring hits in both of Bowling Green's MAC wins over Akron. He was responsible for two of the Falcons three runs in Friday's 3-0 win. Wells knocked in another run Sunday, going 4-for-7 with two runs scored.
