Daytona Beach, Fla. - Bethune-Cookman University is slated to play 23 opponents during the 2007-08 season, including 15 games inside Richard V. Moore Gymnasium in Daytona Beach. Highlighting the Wildcats contests is a trip to Las Vegas, where the `Cats will take part in the Toyota Findlay Las Vegas Invitational.

Bethune-Cookman head coach Clifford Reed, Jr. and his staff has brought in one of the best recruiting classes in school history, and they look to show the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, as well as the entire nation, that B-CU basketball is back.

Some of the key non-conference games for the Wildcats include a trip to Purdue on Nov. 15, as well as local rival Stetson on Nov. 21. The Wildcats and Hatters have not faced off on the hardwood since Dec. 9, 1998, though being separated by just 15 miles down a lonely stretch of Highway known at US-92. The trip will be returned to B-CU when the Hatters visit Moore Gym on Dec. 3.

After that, the `Cats host a four-pack of games which include MEAC foe Florida A&M (Dec. 1) before packing up and traveling west for the third time in four seasons. This time, the Wildcats will detour at Iowa State (Dec. 17) and Missouri State (Dec. 19) before debuting in the Toyota Findlay Las Vegas Invitational. The action takes place at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. against Texas-Pan American and an opponent to be announced later.

The calendar year wraps up with a trip to Georgia State (Dec. 29) before B-CU tackles the depths of the MEAC season just after hosting Savannah State on Jan. 8. The `Cats will begin a stretch of four-straight road games when they travel to the Tidewater area against Hampton (Jan. 12) and Howard (Jan. 14). A doubleheader slate at Baltimore's Coppin State and Morgan State rounds out the four-pack of road contests.

The marquee match-ups of the conference season should be against Hampton, who has what is believed to be one of the finest recruiting classes in school history as well, as well as a home meeting against the two-time defending regular-season champs from Delaware State (Jan. 26). B-CU travels to Delaware State on Feb. 23, while a trip to Florida A&M (Mar. 6) ends the regular season early before getting ready for the MEAC Tournament (Mar. 10-15) once again to be hosted in the beautiful RBC Center in Raleigh, N.C. ... home of the N.C. State Wolfpack and Carolina Hurricanes (NHL).
