The Boston College softball team has elected captains for the 2008 season. They are:
Carley McNary (Senior, Centerfield, Norton, Mass.) - Arguably one of the top defensive outfielders in the ACC ... Played in 44 of 45 games for the Eagles ... Made only one error in 66 chances, good for a .985 fielding percentage ... Served as defensive backbone as outfield quarterback, making countless spectacular plays.
Amanda Booth (Senior, Outfield, Riverside Calif.) - Played in 43 games and started 34 ... Batted .278, with 25 hits, 6 RBIs and 15 runs scored ... Made only one error in 45 chances, for a .978 fielding percentage ... Enjoyed six multi-hit games.
Angela Pandolfo (Senior, Utility, Reading, Mass.) - Missed the 2007 season with an injury ... Started 25 games, including 19 in left field as a sophomore ... Hit .243 with 18 hits, two home runs, 9 RBI and 13 runs scored.
