Sophomore Jeremy Alcorn earned honorable mention PING All-America honors.

WACO, Texas - Baylor sophomore Jeremy Alcorn (Brownwood, Texas) earned honorable mention PING All-America honors the Golf Coaches Association of America announced Tuesday.

Alcorn led the Bears with a 71.76 scoring average for the season, tying for the second-lowest scoring average in school history. He also posted 10 top-25 finishes, including seven top-10s and tied a school record with three individual titles. In consecutive victories at the University Club Intercollegiate and the UTSA Roadrunner Intercollegiate, Alcorn shot four straight rounds in the 60s, including a career-low 65 in the opening round at UTSA.

Alcorn adds to his list of accolades for the year, which already included First-Team All-Big 12 Conference honors and two Big 12 Conference Golfer of the Month awards (October and March).

Alcorn is the 10th All-American in school history, joining Johnny Arreaga (1960), Jim Grant (1966), Tim Hobby (1989), Kory Bowman (1994), Aaron Pellegrom (2000), Jimmy Walker (2001), Jamie McLeary (2002), Adam Meyer (2002) and Ryan Baca (2003).
