ARDMORE, Okla. - The Baylor men's golf team opened with a 297, then rebounded with a 282 to stand tied for 10th with a 36-hole total of 579 on a great day of scoring at the Perry Maxwell Intercollegiate hosted by Oklahoma State at the 6,453-yard, par-70 Dornick Hills Country Club.

Junior Ryan Baca (Richmond, Texas) and senior Jon Antunes (Belton, Texas) are tied for 33rd at 144 to lead the Bears. Baca opened with a 75, then shot a 69 in the afternoon. Antunes fired a pair of 72s.

Freshman Jeremy Frye (Palestine, Texas) shot a 76 in the first round, then came within one stroke of his career low with a 69 in the second to finish with 145 to tie for 41st. Fellow freshman Jeremy Alcorn (Brownwood, Texas) shot a 75 and 72 and is tied for 54th at 147. Senior Will Doughtie (Amarillo, Texas) is tied for 61st at 148 after rounds of 75 and 73.

Colorado's Kane Webber (68-66) and Oklahoma's Doug Manor (70-64) share the lead at 6-under par 134. They lead four players tied at 137.

Oklahoma State (284-265) leads the tournament with an 11-under 549, seven strokes ahead of Oklahoma (556) and 10 strokes up on Colorado (559).

The tournament concludes with the third and final round on Sunday.
