SAN ANTONIO, Texas - The Baylor men's golf team fired a 585 (291-294) and is in fourth after 36 holes of the Roadrunner Invitational hosted by Texas-San Antonio at the 6,691-yard, par-71 Oak Hills Country Club Monday.

Junior Ryan Baca fired one of only seven rounds under par with his 70 in the second round. Baca shot a 1-over par 72 to finish tied for second, even for the day at 142 and is two strokes off the lead.

Freshman Jeremy Alcorn is 3-over at 145 (71-74) and is tied for 12th. Senior Jon Antunes (75-74=149) and freshman Jeremy Frye (73-76=149) are tied for 28th, while senior Will Doughtie (78-76=154) is tied for 56th.

Baca is two strokes behind the leader, San Diego State's Mark Warman (67-73=140) and is tied with Iowa State's Tyler Swanson (71-71=142) and Kansas' Tyler Hall (71-71=142). Kansas leads the overall competition by nine strokes at 574 (285-289). The Bears trail Wichita State (286-297=583) by two strokes and host UTSA (291-293=584) by one.

The tournament concludes with the third and final round on Tuesday beginning at 8:15 a.m.
