SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Sophomore Ryan Baca (37-38=75) shot an opening round 75 on Monday and helped the Bears to a tie for seventh at the Roadrunner Invitational after one round. The second round was cancelled due to freezing rain in the San Antonio area.

Baylor (309) as a team shot 25 over par and is tied with Wichita State. Texas Tech (300) is in first place, two strokes ahead of Arkansas (302). North Texas and Kansas State (305) are tied for third and Iowa State (307) stand alone in fifth.

Three Bears stand in the top-30. Senior Trevar Matheson (39-38=77) played a solid opening round and stands tied for 19th. Junior Jon Antunes (40-38=78) shot seven over par Monday and is tied for 30th.

Junior Will Doughtie (34-45=79) shot a 45 on the back nine and currently is tied for 38th. Junior Austin Burke (41-43=84) is competing in his first collegiate tournament and stands tied for 69th out of 82 individuals competing.

No individual on any team shot par in the rain-filled opening round Monday morning.

The tournament will conclude with the final round Tuesday morning beginning at 7:30 a.m.
