Baylor Men's Golfers Win Udamon Southwest Classic

VICTORIA, Texas - Jimmy Walker shot a final round 67 to take the individual title and lead the Baylor golf team to its first team title this spring. Walker (70-69-67=206) dominated the field and finished at 10-under par. His final round of 67 upped his lead to eight strokes. Freshman Adam Meyer (71-74-72=217) used an even par final round to finish tied for fifth. Fellow freshman Will Doughtie (78-72-71=221) shot a 1-under par final round to finish alone in 15th. Sophomore Ash Serur (76-71-76=223) and senior Worth Williams (71-76-76=223) both shot a 76 in the final round to finish tied for 20th. Rounding out the scoring for Baylor was freshman Jon Antunes (78-74-84=236) who finished the tournament tied for 62nd. Baylor (295-286-290=871) finished two strokes ahead of Arkansas-Little Rock (293-283-297=873). Rounding out the top five were Rice (297-296-293=886), Wichita State (291-305-290=886), and Lamar (286-302-299=887). The win marks the 10th tournament title for Baylor under head coach Tim Hobby. Walker collected his third individual title as a Bear.
The Baylor men's golf team will return to action March 12-13 when it plays in the Louisiana Classic in Lafayette, La.
