After spending five seasons on the links for head coach Greg Priest, Wes Williams transitions to the other side as Baylor's newest assistant men's golf coach.

As a senior in 2007-08, Williams guided the Bears to their 11th-consecutive NCAA Regional berth. He opened his senior campaign with a 2-under 214 to win the 2007 Saint Mary's College Invitational -- the first victory of his career. Williams played all 37 rounds for the Bears in 2007-08, carding a 74.54 overall stroke average.

In 2006-07, Williams led the Bears with a 74.16 stroke average in 34 rounds that included five top 10 finishes. In Baylor's team victory at Bulls Bay, he registered a hole-in-one in the final round on his way to a final round 66 tied for ninth overall with a 210. Williams finished his career with eight top-10 finishes, which ranks tied for 8th all-time for the Bears.

Williams came to Baylor after prepping at Christ Presbyterian Academy in Franklin, Tenn. He was named MVP of the golf team for two consecutive years and was a member of the state runner-up team in 2003. Williams finished second in the Tennessee State Junior Golf Championship.

He and his wife Hannah have been married for two years; she graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor's of science degree in early childhood education. Williams earned his bachelor's of science degree in outdoor recreation from Baylor University in 2008.
