Men's Golf Opens Spring At Lou Flumere Invitational

STOWE, Mass. - The Babson men's golf team opened the spring portion of its 2006-07 season at the 34th Annual Lou Flumere Invitational hosted by Bentley College on Wednesday, where the Beavers placed 14th out of 21 teams.

Babson's top finish of the day came courtesy of first-year Fernando Pineres, who shot a round of 78 to finish 11th overall, four strokes off the winning score. Junior captain Rory Doherty checked in at 49th with a round of 84, while sophomore Harrison Epstein shot an 88 to place 69th. Sophomore Thomas Gilloran was close behind in 77th place, and junior Travis Dewire rounded out the Beavers' lineup in 94th.
