The meeting marked the 49th all-time between the clubs, the most ever between any two Southeastern Conference teams. LSU leads the all-time series, 29-20.

Alabama dropped to 21-16 all-time in the SEC Tournament.
Brittany Rogers extended her hit streak to seven games in the loss.
She singled in the fifth and seventh innings.
Rogers ended the tournament with two multiple-hit games during the tournament, giving her a team-leading 27 this season.
Kellie Eubanks finished with her fifth multiple-hit game of the season. It marked the fifth time this season she had two hits in two straight at bats after singling in the second and fifth innings.
LSU Notes
LSU advanced to the SEC Tournament Championship Game for the eight time in the last nine years.
Rachel Mitchell has three extra-base hits in the first two games. On Friday against Alabama, she homered in the fourth inning to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead. Against South Carolina Thursday, she opened the tournament with two doubles, tying an SEC Tournament record.
Mitchell's fourth-inning home run ties her for the team lead with eight this season. She is tied with Leslie Klein.
Klein tied LSU's single-season doubles record with her 20th of the season in the sixth inning. The double scored two and tied her with Ashlee Ducote, who had 20 doubles in 1999.
The win marked Emily Turner's fifth all-time against Alabama. She has allowed 23 runs in eight appearances against the Crimson Tide, a stretch that spans 48 innings.
