Florida improved to 9-19 all-time in SEC tournament
The Gators are 4-7 in the first round of the SEC Tournament.
Senior Melissa Zick's RBI single in the third extended her
school-record hitting streak to 15 games.
Sophomore Ali Gardiner recorded her 15th multiple-hit game of the
season.
Kim Waleszonia went 1-for-3, extending her hitting streak to nine
games.
The Gators won in the SEC Tournament for the first time since 2003.
Florida recorded its first win over Mississippi State in the SEC
Tournament. The Gators were previously 0-3 against the Bulldogs.
The shutout was Florida's 21st of the season.
Stacey Nelson recorded her 11th shutout and 35 complete game of the
season, both UF sophomore records.
Mississippi State Notes
Mississippi State fell to 12-16 all-time in SEC tournament.
The Bulldogs are 3-6 in the first round of the SEC
The Bulldogs were held to their fewest hits since being no-hit by
UC-Davis Feb. 16.
Courtney Bures went 0-for-1, snapping her nine-game hitting streak.
Sammie Jo Bailey went 0-for-2, snapping her 13-game hitting streak.
